To be considered for financial aid, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. The Department of Education uses FAFSA data to calculate the estimated Student Aid Index (SAI) to determine your eligibility.
CCBC’s FAFSA school code is 002063. The Catonsville address is listed, but it works for all campuses.
To qualify for federal student aid, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Have a valid Social Security number.
- Be enrolled in an eligible CCBC credit certificate or degree program. Certain Continuing Education programs are eligible for financial aid.
- Be enrolled at least six credits/billable hours to be eligible for a student loan.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements to maintain your aid.
- Not defaulted on any prior federal student loan(s) or owe a refund for a grant.
