Explore CCBC's LGBTQ+ Supports

CCBC’s Committee for LGBTQ+ Advocacy, Support and Inclusion (CLASI) works to fulfill the college’s pledge to welcome, respect and embrace the differences and similarities of our employees, our students and the communities we proudly serve. CLASI provides strategies, methods and educational opportunities that create a more inclusive, welcoming and supportive environment.

Accessing the right resources

Focused on consistent and ongoing implementation of existing LGBTQ+-friendly CCBC policies and practices.

We believe in respecting the autonomy of our students by acknowledging their identities. When students can use their preferred names in classroom settings, campus communications and on official college platforms, it supports their mental well-being while fostering a better sense of belonging. All students can request a change to their student records in order to have their preferred name recognized on an institutional level.

Please note: Legal documents - such as transcripts, financial aid forms and tax information - will still have to use your legal name.

At CCBC, you are welcome to use the restroom of the gender(s) with which you identify. In addition, we have gender-inclusive facilities at each of our campuses and buildings.
