Psychology

Psychology is the study of mental processes and behavior in humans and other animals. You'll study the science of how we think, feel, act and interact with the world in this degree program designed to help you transfer to a college that offers a bachelor's degree in psychology. Our courses will give you a solid introduction to the concepts, terminology and current advances in this fascinating field.

In addition to analyzing and evaluating psychological information found in film, television, radio and online, you'll understand your own weaknesses and strengths as a learner and the role that diversity plays in behaviors, attitudes and perceptions.

While not all jobs in the field require direct contact with people, the overall goal of psychology is to apply insights from the study of human behavior to build a healthier society.

Some of the career fields in psychology include (but aren't limited to):

  • Clinical Psychology
  • Consumer Psychology
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Industrial/ Organizational Psychology
  • Neuropsychology
  • Sport Psychology
