Dr. Michelle Smith is a dramatic coloratura soprano from Kansas City, Missouri, that has performed throughout the U.S. and Europe.
She has a DMA in Voice Performance and a Certificate in University Teaching from West Virginia University, and completed certificates in Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy at Shenandoah University’s CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute and at the LoVetri Institute for Somatic Voicework™.
Dr. Smith joined the CCBC music faculty in 2021, and sponsors the CCBC chapter of Student National Association of Teachers of Singing (SNATS).
She teaches contemporary and classical styles of Applied Voice, Chamber Singers, and Survey of World Music.
