Dr. Jarl Hulbert earned his Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Maryland and received his B.M., M.M. and studied piano as a Rotary Scholar in Vienna, Austria.
An instructor of piano and other music classes at CCBC, Dr. Hulbert has also been music faculty at the University of Maryland, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and West Chester University (Pennsylvania).
He was also coordinator of the world-renowned William Kapell International Piano Competition. Dr. Hulbert’s piano students have won many awards, and his CCBC students have successfully auditioned to degree programs at a variety of prestigious institutions.
