Support and opportunities for women in technology

Join others interested in technology careers, learn about internship opportunities and network with career professionals.

Women in Technology (WIT) is a CCBC organization focused on providing support and opportunities to women in STEM related fields. From our regular meetings to guest speakers, special events and unique career opportunities, WIT is an incredible opportunity for women to start or grow their tech career.

Program benefits and opportunities

Attend one of our monthly meetings or join a club!

  • Monthly Meetings: WIT holds monthly meetings during the fall and spring semesters typically on the second Wednesday of the month, at 3 p.m. Our meetings feature female guest speakers from industry that share their personal stories and expertise about working in male dominated fields.
  • Tech Club: Regardless of your major or area of concentration, any student can join the CCBC Tech Club. We bring together employers and technology students to discuss industry trends and employment opportunities in the fields of Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, Network Technology and Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Events: WIT organizes regular events for our organization members and the community and participates in industry events.

Get connected with internships and apprenticeships

  • Industry partnerships are at the heart of educational collaborations between the CCBC Cybersecurity Institute and regional technology employers. As such, CCBC works closely with employers, associations and government agencies in the creation and development of internship and apprenticeship opportunities for students.
  • The Cybersecurity and Computer Science/I.T. Advisory Boards consist of technology employers in the Greater Baltimore area. They serve to guide CCBC in the development of courses directly related to industry standards, including work-related activities that students may find in actual employment.
