ESOL

Continuing education English classes for non-native speakers.

Improve your English skills.

Each year more than 2,000 students come to CCBC to improve their English language skills and achieve their academic, professional and personal goals.

Our continuing education ESOL program is ideal for non-native speakers who want to learn English for life and work. The goal of these classes is to improve the student's speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary in a friendly environment.

We offer Beginning & Intermediate ESOL, Upper Level and Family Literacy ESOL Classes.

Beginning and Intermediate ESOL classes

Beginning and Intermediate ESOL classes have flexible options for morning, afternoon and evening. Additionally, these classes are tuition-free, supported by grant funding from Maryland Department of Labor*.

Beginning ESOL classes start with basic English for everyday life skills and work.

Intermediate ESOL classes continue to develop English language skills while introducing civics concepts.

In order to register for any beginning or intermediate ESOL class, students must attend an upcoming Walk-in ESOL Placement and Registration session.
