This course is designed to enable students to examine the benefits of creating and sustaining high performance teams. Participants will review the stages of team development and the approaches managers must take to motivate their teams. The course will focus on the importance and contribution of communication in successful teams. Topics to be covered include the stages of team development, tasks and responsibilities of team leaders and members, thinking styles and teams, and meeting facilitation. Course Objectives:Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:1. identify the stages of team development, 2. apply the five levels of supervisory decision-making in a team environment, 3. demonstrate an understanding of the four thinking styles in a team environment, and 4. demonstrate the four tools to facilitate more effective meetings.
