A course in which students prepare for graduation and entry into the Radiography profession. Through experience and application of knowledge, students demonstrate proficiency in professionalism and competency in academic subjects. Methods include discussions on medical-legal and ethical issues, performance improvement projects, resume crafting, mock interviews with local HR and clinical partners, and instruction on applying for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) primary certification exam in Radiography and the State of Maryland Board of Physicians' licensure for Radiography. Students prepare for the national exam by completing mock Registry tests and by attending a local Registry Review seminar sponsored by the Maryland Society of Radiologic Technologists. 3 credit hours: 4 lecture hours per week; 10 weeks. Offered spring semester.
Prerequisite(s): RADT 221 with a grade of "C" or better.
Corequisite(s): RADT 223 and RADT 225 with a grade of a "C" or better.
