Is a course that introduces students to electricity and magnetism, kinetic theory, thermodynamics, thermal energy, and heat. It builds on PHYS 151 as the second course in a three-semester set of calculus-based courses in the basic principles of physics for students majoring in Engineering, Mathematics, or a physical science. The course requires knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. 3 hours lecture, 3 hours lab and 1 hour recitation per week. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.
Prerequisite(s): A grade of "C" or higher in PHYS 151.
Lab Fee: $40.00.
