Introduces the clinical aspect of infectious diseases, including mycology, clinical virology and parasitology. This course examines the pathogenesis, clinical syndrome, epidemiology, treatment and laboratory identification of each microorganism. The course introduces practical application of laboratory procedures, safety, specimen collection and handling. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).
Prerequisite(s): MLTC 150, MLTC 151, and MLTC 200.
Corequisite(s): MLTC 231.
