Provides the student a comprehensive breadth of the assessment, treatment, and management of patients suffering from medical and trauma emergencies. Didactic and lab sessions support the development of student critical thinking skills to manage basic and complex patient encounters by integrating assessment findings and patient trending over time to develop dynamic treatment plans. Students use current best practices and advanced technology to support patient care in unique simulated environments. Course offered once a year (summer).
