Examines the process of assessing various disabilities as set forth in special education legislation, providing an overview of the basic statistics and properties of testing measures, formal and informal methods of assessment, and the interpretation of those assessment measures. The following areas of functioning are explored: intelligence, perception, behavior, language, academic, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional. Course offered once a year (fall or spring).
