Is course in which students are offered the preparatory skills to evaluate the language, cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of young children, birth to 12 years. Instruction focuses on theories of child development, developmental milestones, developmentally appropriate practice, and observation. This course is designed for students who are responsible for the education of young children in early childhood and elementary education settings. Course offered every fall, spring and may be offered during additional sessions.
Corequisite(s): ACLT 053 or (ESOL 052 and ESOL 054).
