This course is designed to enable the student to learn part one in a sequence of courses in general carpentry designed as part of the Baltimore Carpenters L. U. #101 apprenticeship series. It focuses on the theory, proper techniques, and fundamental practical knowledge in general carpentry necessary to perform as a skilled carpenter. Topics to be covered include history and benefits of the union, ergonomics, safety, math, measuring, and hand and power tools.
