Get college-ready with Summer Bridge!

The transition to college can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! Our Summer Bridge program makes it easy for first-year students to connect with other students, get acquainted with our campuses and prepare for college-level coursework. This occurs during the summer “bridge” period between high school and college, helping to ease the transition to post-secondary education.

Components:

Over the summer, you'll complete Academic Development 101 (a course requirement for graduation), alongside other team-building and social activities.

Benefits:

  • A head start on your college journey, with peer and faculty support.
  • Academic Development (ACDV) 101 at no cost. Tuition, fees and books are covered.
  • Additional scholarship opportunities after completing the program.

Next steps:

  • Apply to CCBC as a first-time college student.
  • Complete all program activities including ACDV 101 and co-curriculars.
  • Attend New Student Orientation in August.
  • Complete mentoring sessions during your first two semesters.
