About Loyola University Maryland

Loyola University Maryland is a Jesuit, Catholic University founded in 1852 in Baltimore, Maryland. Loyola is committed to the educational and spiritual traditions of the Society of Jesus and the development of the whole person. Accordingly, the university inspires students to learn, lead and serve in a diverse and changing world.

The university offers more than 35 undergraduate and seven graduate programs through its three schools: Loyola College (Arts and Sciences), the Sellinger School of Business and Management and the School of Education.

At Loyola, 4,000 undergraduate students have the advantage of an average class size of 20 students, a student-faculty ratio of 11:1 and no classes taught by graduate students or teaching assistants. With over 80% of students participating in an internship, practicum and/or field experience, 67,000 living alumni around the world, and the unique approach used by our Career Center, it’s easy to understand why 99% of Loyola graduates are employed, in graduate school or completing a year of service within six to nine months of receiving their diploma.
