Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

As an open-door admissions institution, CCBC grants admission to all students regardless of immigration status.

In 2012, the federal government made provisions for undocumented minors to defer removal actions. For the most up-to-date information on this deferral, please visit uscis.gov/i-821d.

DACA eligibility must be renewed with USCIS every year.

How to apply

Important information about DACA requests

Due to federal court orders, USCIS has resumed accepting requests to renew a grant of deferred action under DACA. USCIS is not accepting requests from individuals who have never been granted deferred action under DACA.

Please note: Applying for this benefit does not change the student’s responsibility to pay their tuition and fees before the eligibility is determined.

The eligibility requirements, standards and processes for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are different from those of the Maryland DREAM Act. Students can receive either the DREAM Act or DACA tuition benefit, but not both.
