Next Steps: Degree or Certificate

We're excited to assist you along your student journey. After applying to CCBC, you may be wondering, what's next?

The steps below were developed to help you navigate the enrollment process if you are seeking to earn college credit toward a degree, a certificate or to transfer.

Step 1: Submit additional documents

Send an official copy of your high school transcript, college transcript and/or GED scores to CCBC as described below.

You can also submit documents in-person at any Enrollment Services Center during normal business hours.

If you would like to request an official evaluation of transfer credit from previous institutions, agencies, or organizations, you must submit a Transfer Evaluation Request form. This will help you better understand which previously earned credits will count towards your CCBC program.

Step 2: Apply for financial aid

Consider expected costs for tuition and fees.

Apply for federal financial aid: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). CCBC's school code: 002063.

You may be eligible to receive federal, state or CCBC grants, scholarships or loans. The FAFSA is required for you to be considered for the Baltimore County College Promise Scholarship.

The FAFSA is available October 1 for the following year and can be submitted throughout the year. Apply before March 1 to receive priority consideration for Maryland state scholarships and grants. Learn more about grants, scholarships, loans and student employment»
