Baltimore County, Md.– (March 27, 2025) – In an effort to support displaced federal workers, Community College of Baltimore County will have its human resources professionals recruiting for CCBC job openings and sharing resources at the college’s April 5 Open House.

The event will feature a dedicated Human Resources space offering crucial resources and personalized assistance to those seeking new employment opportunities. Join us from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, April 5, Student Services Building (Rm 001), CCBC Catonsville, 800 South Rolling Rd., Catonsville, Md. 21228.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore CCBC job opportunities: Learn about available positions at CCBC and discover potential career paths and benefits within the college.
  • Receive resume review and advice: Get expert feedback and learn how to effectively showcase transferable skills and experience on a resume.
  • Gain application tips: Receive guidance on navigating the application process and submitting a strong application.
  • Get interview-ready: Learn valuable strategies for acing interviews and making a positive impression.

While CCBC’s Open House is geared toward prospective students and their families, adding a dedicated space to assist displaced federal workers was grounded in a community need. With Maryland the home to approximately 160,000 federal workers, the state is disproportionately impacted by federal cuts.

"We understand that this is a difficult time for many federal workers, and we want to offer our support," said CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis.

CCBC is committed to being a resource for our community, and we are pleased to provide these valuable services to help individuals transition to new and fulfilling careers."

This is a great time to connect with the college’s hiring team, gain essential career advice and explore new possibilities. All workers displaced by federal cuts are invited. For additional information and resources for displaced federal workers visit ccbcmd.edu/federal-workers.
