CCBC Sustainable Horticulture program hosts Feb. 21 Job Fair

Job Fair focuses on landscaping, design and facilities management careers


Baltimore County, Md. (Feb. 4, 2025) – Join Community College of Baltimore County’s Sustainable Horticulture program for its annual Job Fair 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 21 at CCBC Dundalk, Alvin and Mary Lloyd College Center, 7200 Sollers Point Road.

This free event is open to the public and is designed for individuals interested in professional careers in landscape installation, maintenance, design, nursery plant production and facilities management.

More than 30 industry-leading employers including landscaping installation and design firms, garden centers, nurseries and more will be in attendance and seeking to hire for full and part-time positions. This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking employment or exploring career pathways in environmental horticulture.

Career counseling and program advising will be available for the following offerings:

  • AAS in Sustainable Horticulture
  • Basic Horticulture Technician Certificate
  • Landscape Installation, Maintenance, and Design
  • Agriculture/Greenhouse Production
  • Turf Management

"The employers attending this job fair represent a wide range of careers within sustainable horticulture", said CCBC Sustainable Horticulture Director Bradley Thompson. “In addition to traditional landscape maintenance and design, you will find there is a stronger emphasis on stormwater management and climate change adaptation – both of which are becoming critical aspects of the industry. We want to make sure that job seekers can explore the breadth of all the industry has to offer.”
