CCBC presents Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka

The Arts at CCBC presents Anon(ymous) as part of its 2024-25 season under the theme Belonging.


Baltimore County, Md. (October 15, 2024) – Community College of Baltimore County Performing Arts presents Anon(ymous) by Naomi Iizuka, Oct. 31 – Nov. 4 in the Center for the Arts Theatre, CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road.

Separated from his mother, a young refugee named Anon embarks on a journey across the United States, encountering a diverse array of people — some kind, others dangerous and cruel—as he searches for his family. From a sinister one-eyed butcher to beguiling barflies to a grueling sweatshop, Anon must navigate a chaotic and ever-changing landscape in this captivating adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey.

The Arts at CCBC presents Anon(ymous) as part of its 2024-25 season under the theme Belonging. The season is filled with performances that celebrate stories of people finding a home, building their own community and carving a place for themselves.

Performance times include:

  • 11:10 a.m. Oct. 31
  • 7 p.m. Nov. 1 and 2
  • 3 p.m. Nov. 3 (American Sign Language interpreted)
  • 10 a.m. Nov. 4

CCBC’s production Anon(ymous) is directed by UMBC Assistant Professor Nigel Semaj, with set and lighting design by G. Maurice "Moe" Conn, sound by Dylan Glathorn, costumes and puppets by Jess Rassp. The production coordinator is Damon Krometis and stage manager is Samuel Koch with Caelyn Ricks as assistant stage manager.

Tickets are $10 general admission; $5 students, seniors, CCBC faculty and staff; and free for currently enrolled CCBC students with ID. Tickets can be purchased at the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787), online at www.ccbctickets.com or at the door one hour prior to the performances.
