CCBC Essex women's basketball advances in national tourney

To begin the NJCAA national tournament, Alana Powell and Ashley Dickey came up big for CCBC-Essex, leading the charge in a slim 80-74 victory over Pima Community College on Tuesday.

Powell posted a game-high 26 points along with five rebounds and three assists. Dickey scored 19 and forward Deborah Okechukwu contributed 10 points and 15 boards for the Knights, who secured their 12th straight win.
