More than 800 graduates are anticipated to attend CCBC’s 2023 Commencement ceremony, 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 4 at CCBC Essex. The President’s Distinguished Graduate recipient, Ixtle Montuffar, will serve as the commencement speaker.
The Class of 2023 consists of more than 2,700 students who have earned an associate degree or certificate. Several students having completed their high school diploma and CCBC associate degree simultaneously will walk the stage as part of this graduating class. Additionally, the first students to complete CCBC’s Degrees to Succeed program, an initiative where students enroll at CCBC and one of its four-year partner programs simultaneously, are among the graduates. These students enjoyed unique benefits and resources from both schools and will automatically transfer to their four-year school of choice with junior status.
CCBC’s outdoor ceremony takes place under a massive tent near the Health and Wellness building at CCBC Essex. For those unable to attend, the ceremony will also be available via live stream.
