A new partnership between Baltimore County Public Schools and the Community College of Baltimore County is providing students with greater access to the BCPS/CCBC Tuition-Free Program starting summer 2022.

The Maryland State Department of Education has allocated funding for school systems to increase student access to college and career readiness programs— specifically dual enrollment, career and technical education, and Advanced Placement courses. BCPS will use this additional funding from the state to expand the Tuition Free Program.

Formerly, BCPS students in 10th through 12th grade with a GPA of 2.5 or higher could get tuition covered for up to four credit courses. Under the new partnership, students can take an unlimited number of courses (credit and non-credit), the GPA requirement has been eliminated and in addition to tuition, the cost of fees and books is included. This new partnership provides tremendous time and cost-savings for BCPS students.

CCBC’s summer session is already underway, with a 7 week session beginning June 20 and a five week session starting July 18.
