Record Shop Kids/Negro Day Dancers: Looking for two good singers and dancers who have a lot of personality and can be bold in their characterizations of teenagers of the time. They regularly visit the Record Shop and are a part of the teenage performers on Corny Collins' "Negro Day" shows. They will emulate some of the most famous dance moves of the 60s. These roles should be played by black performers. Gender: Male Age 16+ but should be able to play a high school student. Vocal range top: tenor, bottom: bass/baritone.

The Dynamites: Seeking three performers who are good singers and dancers who can harmonize and compliment each other as part of The Dynamites (Judine, Kamilah, and Shayna), a dynamic musical trio, iconic of the Motown era and the 1960s (think the Marvelettes, Shirelles, and the Crystals). They may also double as part of the Record Shop Kids/Negro Day Dancers. Roles are played by black female performers. Gender: Female Age 20 to 30 but should also be able to play a high school student. Vocal range top: A5, bottom: E4

Compensation: Non-paying, non-equity.

Rehearsals begin in February. Tech week begins 5/3 with show dates of 5/9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and. 18.

Video auditions accepted and should include 16 - 32 measures of a song showing off your range and demonstrates your dancing ability.
