This in-person training, specifically targeted to Male Student Success Initiative (MSSI) students, will be titled Beyond "I’m Good: The Future of Men’s Mental Health." The session will be interactive and engaging, while inviting participants to be introspective of their experience of manhood. We will also dive deep into A Call to Men’s Cycle of Consequences. We know that the collective socialization of manhood, “The Man Box,” can create a fertile ground for violence against women and girls and those at the margins of the margins. It is important to understand that the Man Box is also holding men hostage. As we invest in developing a healthy respectful manhood, we decrease violence against women and girls. As a result, we improve men’s mental health and well-being.
