PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE FOR INITIAL YEAR
Due to the timeframe under which this plan was written and approved, the implementation period for the first year will be foreshortened. For this reason, two time lines are being provided: the first year of implementation of this plan and later years when the structure is fully functioning. It is estimated that the plan will be fully functioning in the 2000-2001 academic year, although major components can be put in place quickly for a successful 1999-2000 schedule.

Members of the Professional Development Team (PDT) appointed, selected or designated

PDT members begin collecting information about 1999 - 2000 offerings

Tentative plans made for each campus and each cabinet area

PDT begins to have regular coordination meetings

College and campus governance structures contacted regarding appointees to the Professional Development Advisory Council (PDAC)
