The Learning/Academic Affairs Council makes recommendations concerning
programs, curricula, instruction, special populations, marketing,
environments for learning, student support, physical plant and security,
co-curricular activities, public relations, continuing education and
economic development, budget and long-range planning, and other academic
issues. (Course and program approval are under the purview of the
Curriculum and Instruction [C&I] Committee. Two members of the
Learning/Academic Affairs Committee are members of the Curriculum and
Instruction Committee.) The Council shall consist of thirty-two members:
a) twelve teaching faculty, four from each campus;
b) six administrators and professional personnel, two from each campus
c) six classified employees:

two from AFSCME
-
two from CWA
-
two from non-union eligible classified employees
d) six students - two from each campus
e) two members from Continuing Education
In addition, the CCBC Chancellor may appoint ex-officio such other
members as he or she deems appropriate.
