FYE Mentors play a vital role in helping students learn about our campus and community by creating a welcoming and informative environment. Mentors are resources for students concerning curricular and co-curricular learning, academics, social organizations, and Student Life.

Our FYE Mentors provide both formal and casual mentoring. Formal mentoring is for students who would like to meet with a mentor on a regular basis, whereas casual mentoring is for students who would like to intermittently stop in to speak with a mentor. Students who wish to be paired with an FYE Mentor for formal mentoring should complete our Mentee Interest Form and return it to Lorrie Budd, Assistant Director of Student Life, First-Year Experience. You can submit your completed form to Lorrie through the Office of Student Life on any campus (CCBC Catonsville in J-100, CCBC Dundalk in K-221, and CCBC Essex in B-116).

Mentors are available to chat live online during campus hours and during regularly scheduled online hours. For chatting, mentors use the CCBC FYE Facebook page. You need to have a Facebook account and be logged into that account in order to chat with CCBC FYE. Of course, if you would like to speak to a mentor in person, feel free to stop by one of the campus locations! Hours and locations are listed below:
