How Do Online Courses Work?
Classes start on the second or third Wednesday of each month with two lessons posted each week and can be completed within a six-week period at your convenience. Interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials, and online discussions supplement the lessons. All of our courses include a required online orientation session and are managed by faculty members who provide a syllabus, monitor study sessions, and serve as a learning resource throughout your learning experience. Registration remains open up to 1 week after the start date.

You will be granted access to two lessons each week for six weeks. Each lesson will be accompanied by a short, multiple-choice quiz. You are expected to try and complete each quiz within ten days from when the lesson is released. Some lessons will also be accompanied by an assignment that has been designed to give you a hands-on application of the skills taught in that lesson. You will be granted ten days to complete each assignment, you will be provided with the tools you'll need to self-evaluate your work. The course will conclude with a final test. You will have ten days after your course ends to submit the final for evaluation.

Class format, registration, and start dates are different for our partnership classes with Harford County and for our occupational Spanish classes. Please refer to the course listings for those classes for more details.
