Program Goals

1. To prepare students as competent and safe respiratory care practitioners capable of functioning in a variety of health care settings.
   
   
2. To provide the Maryland/Washington DC area with qualified practitioners to meet demonstrated market need.
   
   
3. To prepare students who will develop the proper attitude and level of professionalism necessary to maintain the ethical standard of respiratory care.
   
   
4. To assist students of non-traditional, disadvantaged and minority groups with program entrance and continued program success.
   
   
5. To provide students with the fundamental knowledge, skills and courses to foster further academic advancement and leadership roles in respiratory care.
