Important Procedures

I. Schedule Changes

If you adjust your schedule after you apply for a semester’s VA ED Benefits you must notify the VA Certifying Official of the schedule changes. Failure to submit changes could affect your VA Certification of Enrollment Status.

II. Change of Program or Major

If you change your degree or certificate goal that you declared with the VA you must complete a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training form.

• Veterans must complete a VA null-null-1995 and submit to the VA Certifying Official
• Survivor’s and Dependant’s must complete a VA-5495 and submit to the VA Certifying Official
• Obtain form from the CCBC VA office or form can be downloaded from the VA website http://www.gibill.va.gov
• VA Vocational Rehabilitation Students (Chapter 31) must contact their case manager.

III. Deployed While Enrolled

Contact your VA Certifying Official as soon as possible for information and procedures
