Transfer Students Applying for Veterans Benefits at CCBC

If you have used VA Benefits at another institution:

Active Duty and Selected Reservist

1. Chapters 30, 1606, and 1607, complete the form Request for Change of Program or Place of Training to declare a new school and new program. You may obtain a transfer student packet from the CCBC VA office or the form can be downloaded from the VA website, http://www.gibill.va.gov. Also submit the DD-214 or NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility).
2. Complete the CCBC Veterans Request for VA ED Benefits Certification form.
3. If registered for classes, submit a copy of the Schedule/Bill.
4. Forward all paperwork to your CCBC VA office, Attn; VA Certifying Official.
5. Submit all official transcripts to the records and registration office for evaluation of prior credits and or training.

If you have used VA benefits at another institution:

Survivors and Dependents

1. Chapter 35, Complete the form Request for Change of Program or Place of Training Survivors’ and Dependents’ Education Assistance to declare a new school and new program. You may obtain a Chapter 35, transfer student from the CCBC VA office or the form can be downloaded from the VA website, http://www.gibill.va.gov.
2. Complete the CCBC Veterans Request for VA ED Benefits Certification form.
3. If registered for classes, submit a copy of the Schedule/Bill.
4. Forward all paperwork to your CCBC VA office, Attn; VA Certifying Official.
5. Submit all official transcripts to the records and registration office for evaluation of prior credits.
