GPA Requirements:
Applicants must have a minimum overall CCBC GPA of 2.00. Students must have a minimum GPA calculated on the prerequisites, general education, and nursing requirements of 2.50.
Non-academic Requirements:
Preadmission Examination - All applicants to the Nursing program must register for the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) prior to the application deadline. The approximate cost for this test is $40.00. The Nursing Department recommends that if a student scores less than 70% for the total composite score and/or less than 90% for the Reading sub-test, consideration should be given to repeating the test to raise the score. Students may take the TEAS examination only two times per application cycle. Testing schedules and registration information
Interview – The top candidates for the Paramedic to RN program will be invited to participate in an interview. The interview is scored and the score will be considered as part of the application packet.
Experience – Applicants for this program must be able to document at least 2 years of full-time work as Paramedics, licensed in Maryland.
