WELCOME TO THE CCBC EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM
"Be a CCBC Paramedic or compete with one!"
Greetings and welcome to the CCBC Emergency Medical Technology program home page. We are pleased that you are considering a career as an Emergency Medical Services professional and hope that you find the information contained in these pages helpful.
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides vital life-sustaining assessment and care to those who are experiencing a medical or traumatic emergency, and transports those persons to an appropriate medical facility were more definitive care can be rendered. The CCBC Emergency Medical Technology program educates and trains individuals to both EMT Basic and Paramedic.
See what our students and faculty have to say:
Effective fall of 2010 the CCBC EMT Program will no longer offer the EMT-I/99 (MD CRT-I) curriculum. The EMT Program will offer only an EMT to Paramedic curriculum based on the new EMS Education Standards. The EMT Program will continue to offer the Maryland CRT-I to Paramedic bridge course until further notice. For additional information, contact the program director, Robert Henderson, Jr., at firstname.lastname@example.org or 443-840-1477.
