The Child Care Center at CCBC Catonsville offers developmentally
appropriate programs for children between 4 months and 5 years.
Housed in a facility designed and built for children, the center
provides a safe, healthy, nurturing environment.
Students at CCBC Catonsville may visit our program for field
experiences in education, psychology, etc. The students are always
under the supervision of center staff. Additionally, student
teachers from local colleges (UMBC, Villa Julie College) come to
our Center to complete their internships. All field experience
students are required to sign a Confidentiality Statement.
It is the parent's responsibility to sign his/her child in and out
each day. A child will be released only to individuals listed on
the Emergency Card or with advance written authorization.
Discipline is teaching and guiding self-control, not punishment.
At CCBC Catonsville, self-control is encouraged and developed by:
Acting as we expect children to act
Setting realistic, positive expectations
Respecting each child and his/her feelings
Offering good choices
Praising positive behavior
Parents and Families
We respect and support families in their task of nurturing and
raising children. We recognize that children are best understood
in the context of their family, culture, and society. We strive to
maintain open lines of communication with families.
