PSC 002 – The 2010 Congressional Elections
This course is designed to enable the student to assess the impact of the 2010 congressional elections on the American political process. Topics to be covered include the U.S. economy, unemployment, national debt, deficit spending, health care reform, the makeup of the 112th Congress, the influence of the Tea Party, and presidential-congressional cooperation.
Course Objectives: 1. discuss the major economic, social, and political issues facing the future of the United States; 2. describe the makeup of the next Congress; and 3. identify the world wide trouble spots that influence American foreign policy.
