President's Community-Based Job Training Grants

A grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to the
Community College of Baltimore County
In February 2009, the US Department of Labor awarded CCBC and its partners a three-year Community-Based Job Training (CBJT) Grant to help reduce shortages in selected high-demand health practice areas. The CBJT Grant serves as a catalyst for the partners to educate an increased number of students and to provide upward mobility for incumbent health care employees in the following new and/or expanded certificate and credit programs: Emergency Medical Technician, Household Associate (Continuing Education), Medical Laboratory Technician, Mental Health, Nursing, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy.
