Accreditation identifies legitimate institutions of higher education and
their academic programs in the United States. As such, accreditation is
widely accepted as a quality assurance indicator. Adherence to standards
established by the members of the various institutional and specialized
accrediting bodies is the benchmark for measurement of quality among the
respective institutions and academic programs.
The Community College of Baltimore County is proud not only of its
institutional accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher
Education, but also of our many academic programs that are accredited or
approved by organizations recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation and/or the United States Department of Education.
