Services Provided:

The Reading/Writing Area
The Reading/Writing Area can assist you with understanding difficult textbooks, learning new vocabulary, increasing your reading comprehension and improving your spelling. Staff members can also provide you with helpful tips on topics such as note taking, time management, outlining and test preparation.

Developing your writing skills is an ongoing process, and the writing tutors at Dundalk are available to provide assistance with topic selection, research, organization, draft development, revision, editing and proofreading. In addition, we can provide you with a wide variety of materials to help you work on the writing process and any problem areas of grammar and mechanics. Faculty members are available to help with papers for any class you’re taking. These half-hour sessions require an appointment, which you can make by calling 443-840-3666.

The Math Area
You don’t have to be taking a math class to be stumped by a math problem. Whatever subject is causing you math anxiety, the experienced staff of the Math Area can help improve your confidence and problem-solving abilities. For more information about the Math Area, call 443-840-3664.

The Tutor Service
If you’re having trouble in a specific course other than English, math, or reading, and if you are willing to put in the extra time, tutors can work with you one-on-one for a maximum of two hours per week per course. The Tutor Service matches students with tutors who can help. Tutor Request Forms are located in the Student Success Center.
