School of Health Professions Admission Office
Welcome to the School of Health Professions Admission Office at CCBC!
We are located on the Essex Campus in Administration (ADMN) Building, room 101. We provide a variety of services related to outreach and recruitment and career counseling for students who are interested in a career in an allied health field. We also receive and process the applications for all of the credit programs in the School of Health Professions.
If you have questions about admissions for any of the SHP programs, please call us at 443-840-2810 or stop by the office during our regular hours: Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All credit programs in the School of Health Professions (SHP) are selective admissions programs. Application for admission to these programs is a separate process from admission to CCBC. Admission to the college does not imply admission to any of the programs in the SHP. Admission is competitive and selective and may depend upon factors such as: grades in prerequisite courses, patient contact experience, reference letters, interviews, preadmission testing, and overall CCBC GPA. Each program has its own admission criteria and application deadline.
Students in the School of Health Professions are required to conduct themselves according to an honor code, exhibit professional behavior, communicate effectively in English, provide proof of health insurance and immunizations, participate in a criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
NOTE - All applications to SHP programs are only available online. After students have applied to CCBC, they may log into their SIMON accounts and apply to SHP programs by using the Student Services tab in Simon.
NOTE: Applicants who are accepting a seat into the Practical or Registered Nursing programs are required to pay a non-refundable $200 seat fee to accept their offer of admission and reserve their space in the RN programs or the PN program. The fee will be applied to the student account after the first several weeks of class. Students who accept the seat and then do not attend the program will not be eligible for a refund of the fee.
