CCBC awards more than $50,000 this fall
in Completion Scholarship funds
Scholarships give students encouragement to complete degrees and certificates
CCBC has awarded 155 Completion scholarships to eligible students for the Fall 2011 semester. The college created this new scholarship opportunity as part of its Completion Agenda effort to motivate students to complete degrees and certificates.
The new Completion Scholarship is for current students who have unmet financial aid need, have a 2.0 GPA, are enrolled in at least six credits and have completed 40 credits toward an associate degree or two–thirds of the credits toward a certificate. Students are awarded between $250 and $500 annually, depending on how many eligible students apply.
Fall Completion Scholarships represent more than $50,000 in financial support to CCBC students. Scholarships will continue to be awarded on a rolling basis, and students are being encouraged to apply now for spring 2012 awards.
