CCBC Chancellor's Cable TV Show Features County Executive
Dr. Irving Pressley McPhail, CCBC chancellor, interviews Baltimore
County Executive C. A. Dutch Ruppersberger on the latest edition of his cable
television show entitled, "LearningFirst." The show may be viewed
on CCBC Catonsville Channel 72 on Mondays at 1 p.m., Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m.,
Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., Fridays at 9 p.m. and Sundays
at 2:30 p.m. It will also air on CCBC Essex Channel 71 on Mondays at 11 p.m.,
Wednesdays at 10:30 p.m., Thursdays at noon, Fridays at 1 p.m., Saturdays at
5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. Channels 71 and 72 are available to all Baltimore
County subscribers to Comcast cable. A tape of the show will also be available
in each campus library for viewing.
Dr. McPhail's discussion with Ruppersberger covers educational
and workforce training issues of interest to all Baltimore County residents.
The two leaders talk about the numerous CCBC workforce training programs that
allow people to enhance current careers or move into new positions. They make
particular mention of the CCBC project, CAD/CAM 2000, designed to provide career
training and job placement to people in computer-aided design and computer automated
manufacturing. In addition, they focus on other workforce training issues and
the link between education and economic development.
"LearningFirst" the cable show is an ongoing production
of CCBC-TV, Channel 72 with studios on the Catonsville campus.
