‘STAYCATIONING’ THIS SUMMER?

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (June 25, 2014) – Summer sessions and events are in full swing at the Community College of Baltimore County. There is still time to register and attend summer classes which begin July 14 (6-week sessions) and July 21 (5-week sessions). Registration is also underway for the fall semester, which begins on Wednesday, August 27. Visit www.ccbcmd.edu and click on “Register Now!” to find information about available classes. Online and in-person registration and New-to-CCBC Student Orientation sessions will be available throughout the summer.

This year’s Chautauqua focuses on strong creative women in history -- Georgia O'Keeffe, Emily Dickinson and Frida Kahlo. Each evening one of these ladies will come to life on stage and share her passions and problems and the audience has a front row seat. You will meet the ladies and then find out how the scholar-actors who portray them researched the roles. This event is cosponsored by the School of Liberal Arts and Maryland Humanities Council.
Free and open to the public.

Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre Court Jesters Young People’s Theatre

The popular comic strip heroine Little Orphan Annie takes center stage in Annie, Jr., an adaptation of one of the world’s best-loved and most-performed musicals.

Based on the book by Amanda Brown and the MGM motion picture, this musical comedy follows Elle Wood to Harvard Law to win back her former boyfriend. It proves that you should never underestimate a blonde on a mission!
