Gregory B. Hart elected president of the CCBC Foundation Catonsville Board

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (February 10, 2012) – Catonsville resident Gregory B. Hart, principal and co-founder of Donohue-Hart & Associates, Ltd. was elected president of the Community College of Baltimore County Foundation Catonsville Board of Directors at the group’s December 2011 Board Meeting. Hart, a Certified Financial Planner, has served on the CCBC Foundation Catonsville Board for three years and chaired its Finance Committee for two years. As president, he also serves on the CCBC Foundation Board.

Hart sees his a new role within the CCBC Foundation Catonsville as a mission. “I think a lot about the human needs within in our community, our nation, and, quite frankly, the world. My wife, my children and I have long been engaged in local and international mission work. I learned that when we work to meet the needs of others, benefits accrue not only for the individual(s) but for the society itself.”

“When Jack Manley, my friend and the former Athletic Director at “CCC,” asked me to get involved with the foundation, I was not sure it would “square-up” with our family’s mission orientation,” Hart remarks.

However, it did not take long for him to see that the work of the CCBC Foundation, in conjunction with the mission of the Community College of Baltimore County, fits “hand-in-glove” not only with meeting needs (tuition assistance, funding special programs, etc.) but also in helping overcome those needs (providing a skilled workforce, in such areas as medicine, technology, mechanical and so on.

Hart notes, “I serve because I believe the more we support one another through programs such as the CCBC Foundation, the greater the opportunity for meeting human needs through the skill and efforts of excellently trained individuals who, in turn ,will be grateful for their own opportunities.”

A business leader, Hart serves on several closely-held business Advisory Boards and is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is active in a professional study group. Donohue-Hart, Ltd. is a full-service financial planning company with offices in Bel Air in Harford County and Arbutus in Baltimore County.
