CCBC Dundalk presents DANZA FOLKLORICA as part of its Hispanic
Month celebration
Baltimore County, Md. -- DANZA FOLKLORICA, a Baltimore-based
South American folk music and dance ensemble, will perform at 12 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the K Building Student Lounge on the Dundalk campus
of the Community College of Baltimore County, 7200 Sollers Point Road.
DANZA FOLKLORICA performs a variety of dance styles, including Spanish
dances, Mambo and Salsa. The troupe also performs Aztec “dances” and
traditional dances from Nayarit, Mexico. These indigenous dances are
rituals in adoration of the sun and in celebration of life. The dancers
are trained in ballet, jazz, Mexican Folkloric and Spanish Flamenco
dance. Fernando Roman of Grupo Latino Continental founded the troupe.
CCBC Dundalk Office of Student Activities is sponsoring this event in
conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month.
The program is free and open to the public. For additional information,
