Logging on to SIMON

How do I log on to the system?

You must enter your User Name and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to enter the system.

First-Time User: 

1. Click the "Create Your User Name" button on the left side of the login page.

2. Complete the form:

   1. Enter your social security number (or Student ID if you are an International Student).

   2. Enter your birthday.

   3. Enter your numeric birthday (if you do not have a date of birth on file, use the last six digits of your CCBC Student ID). Enter your birthday as mmddyy. For example if your birthday is May 1, 1984 it would be entered as 050184.

   4. From the dropdown box select a security question (this question will appear in the event you forget your user name or PIN).

   5. Answer the above question (you will be required to type this answer in the event you forget your user name and PIN, please type carefully).

   6. Confirm your answer by typing it again.

   7. Create your user name (The name must be at least 6 characters and can be up to 18 characters in length. It can consist of only numbers or letters or a combination of both).

   8. Confirm your user name by typing it again.

   9. Click the "submit" button.

3. Your user name is being emailed to your CCBC student email account (in the event that you do not have a CCBC student email account you will be prompted to add a new email address (please remember which email account you specify as this is where your user name and PIN will be emailed if you forget either).

4. On the Validate New User page, click the link to return to the CCBC Online Information System login page.

5. On the Login page go to the right of the page under "Already Have a New User Name" and enter the user name your just created and the PIN from above.
    
6. On the next page you will be prompted to create a new PIN with the message "Your PIN has expired. Please change it now."
    
   1. Re-enter your six digit date of birth next to "Old PIN" .
   2. Create a new PIN (6 digits, all numeric) You will enter this same number twice. (Click here to view a screen shot)
      

Returning User: 

1. User ID – Enter your user name (follow steps 1 through 5 above if you have not yet created a user name).

2. PIN – Enter the 6 digit PIN that you created when you first accessed the system (you DO NOT need to create a new PIN, use your existing PIN).

3. Forget your pin? Click on the "Forgot User Name or Pin" button" on the login page. You will be prompted to answer your security question. Type the answer and you will be able to logon to the system. Additionally, your new user name and PIN will be emailed to you.
