Overview: Enjoy a wonderful 8-day getaway to historical Sicily with an optional 4 day extension to Malta. Fly into Palermo, see the Royal Palace and Cathedral and continue on to Monreale to visit another Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments, with its Moorish architecture and Benedictine Cloister in Arab-Norman style. Visit Agrigento, the temples of Juno, Concord, Heracles, Zeus, Castor and Pollux. There will be optional trips to Segesta/Erice/Trapani, Siracusa, Mt. Etna, with its' active volcano and Taormina, called "the pearl of the Ionic Sea". The Malta extension includes a tour of Valetta and its' many treasures and two optional tours of Gozo, Malta's sister island and the Blue Grotto, limestone heritage and the fishing village of Marsaxlokk and its' market.
