Scholarships for students wanting to study abroad are now available! If you are a CCBC student, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and receive financial aid, the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program is looking for you! Applications for 2013-14 scholarships are due March 5, 2012.

Travel Studies
For-credit, Academic Travel
All trips can be taken for International Travel Studies 262 (2 credits). Registration going on now.
•Japan (March 29 - April 7, 2013), Trip Cost $3,000, including flight, hotel, some meals, and excursions.
For the first time at CCBC, students will have the exclusive chance to visit Japan with Professors Noriko Tojo (ntojo@cbcmd.edu). Come and experience the collision of two different worlds in one unique city: experience old Tokyo in Asakusa and new Tokyo in Harajuku; enjoy a trip to a real fish market; Stop by the Gion Corner, an amazing theater where you will enjoy a 1-hour show of seven traditional performing arts (the heart of Kyogen classical comedy, Kyomai dance, Gagaku Imperial Court music, koto (Japanese harp) in this one of kind city. Visit the beautiful Itsukushima, a Shrine that stands on the water in Hiroshima. Experience real Japanese food, Takoyaki in Osaka and Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima. (Itinerary)
Students interested in traveling to Japan must register for ITTR 262 (CRN 25503) with requires attendance at pre-departure class meetings, in country assignments, and a final project submitted after completion of the travel study. Registration is filling up fast! Act now and reserve a spot.
